Grammar and Syntax:
A sentence in GRACEFUL is a structured sequence of Words and Phrases.
Basic Word Order: Subject - Verb - Object. This is represented as the sequence: (Subject-Word) (Verb-Word) (Object-Word)
Modifiers: A descriptive Word (adjective/adverb) is placed before the Word it modifies.
Prepositions: Relationships are formed using the ' mark.
Questions: A sentence is made into a question by prefixing it with ?.
4. Building the Vocabulary (Semantics)
This is the combinatorial core. We build complex ideas from simple ones.
A. Numbers & Math:
() = Zero (the empty word)
(.) = One (a single entity)
(..) = Two
(...) = Three
(.) + (..) = (...) = 1 + 2 = 3
(..) - (.) = (.) = 2 - 1 = 1
B. Colors:We define colors as a description (:) of light.
(:) = Color (the concept)
(:.) = Red (The first/primary color)
(:..) = Green (The second color)
(:...) = Blue (The third color)
(:...) = Yellow (A combination of Red and Green: (:.) + (:..))
C. Nature & Objects:
(.) = Entity (generic)
(.;) = Living Entity (Entity + Action)
(.;') = Animal (Living Entity + Relation)
(.;'.) = Dog (The first/common animal)
(.;'..) = Cat (The second common animal)
(.;:) = Plant (Living Entity + Description/static)
(.!.) = Tree (A large, force-ful Entity)
(.;:.) = Flower/Carnation (The first/common plant)
D. People & Pronouns:
(.;!) = Person (Living Entity + Force/consciousness)
(.;!.) = I / Me (The speaking person)
(.;!..) = You (The person being addressed)
(.;!...) = He/She/It (The third person)
(.;!;-) = Sinner (Person + Action + Negation)
Notice how "Person," "Animal," and "Plant" are built from distinct, unambiguous roots (;!, ;', ;:). You could never accidentally translate "person" as "dog."
E. Prepositions & Relations:
(') = Relation
('.) = In / Inside (The first relation)
('..) = On / Surface (The second relation)
('...) = With / Accompanying (The third relation)
('..') = From (Origin: Relation + second point)
('.'.) = To / Towards (Goal: Relation + first point)
Example Sentences:
Let's build some complex thoughts.
"The small dog is on the red rug."
Small = (:,) (A descriptive quality of being a small part)
Dog = (.;'.)
Is = (;) (The verb "to be" is the fundamental action)
On = ('..)
Red = (:.)
Rug = (.,) (An entity that is a part/covering of a floor)
Sentence: { [ (:,) (.;'.) ] (;) [ ('..) [ (:.) (.,) ] ] }
Structure: { [Desc Subj] Verb [Prep [Desc Obj]] }
"Do you see the three black birds?"
You = (.;!..)
See = (;.) (The first/common action: to perceive)
Three = (...)
Black = (:-) (The absence of color/light)
Bird = (.;'...') (Animal + relation to sky/flying)
Sentence: ? { (.;!..) (;.) [ (...) (: -) (.;'...') ] }
"I will give you two green apples."
I = (.;!.)
Will Give = (;!..) (A forceful action directed outwards)
You = (.;!..)
Two = (..)
Green = (:..)
Apple = (.;:..) (A specific type of plant-fruit)
Sentence: { (.;!.) (;!..) (.;!..) [ (..) (:..) (.;:..) ] }
