Ire's Note
Ire is an entity that appears when activating its modifier "TO LEAVE TO WANDER" or when equipping its Bound Trait, Deggur.
Appearance[]
Ire appears as a giant, black eye-shaped object. Noticeably, it has a small white smiley face instead of a pupil. This face consists of straight lines, with long, asymmetrical, thin eyes and a "V" shaped mouth with serifs. The outline of this eye has a static-like effect, although dissimilar to Dozer's aura.
When using its respective Bound Trait , Ire appears purple.
Behavior[]
Ire will randomly appear in the middle of the screen as a closed eye, slowly peeling its eye open. When the eye fully opens, the smiley face will show along with the outline of the eye flashing red for a split second.
To survive Ire, the players will have to simply jump at any point while it's on-screen. Not doing so will result in Ire killing the victim after being open for long enough. If survived, the eye will regress to a lemon-like shape, and the face will show a disappointed look. On death, the victim's screen will be fully black, a pair of eyes will appear (likely representing the players eyes), going to those that resemble the ones of Rue's. The screen will then flash a few times, and following words will then appear, spread out in 5 columns:
"YOU'RE GOING TO REGRET THAT.
DID YOU DO IT ALL
OUT OF SPITE?
ALL OUT OF REVENGE?
ALL OUT OF HATE? ALL OUT OF PRIDE?
ALL OUT OF SELF GAIN?
WHAT DID YOU GAIN? WHAT WAS TO GAIN?
WHY SPREAD HATE?
HAVE YOU NOT HEARD
WHAT YOUR OWN SAVIOR SAID?"
The victim's body will then turn completely white and have their limbs chained up by white chains to the ground, almost identical to Rue's kill effect.

Trivia[]
- Ire is mechanically the most generous of the On-screen entities, allowing you to jump to survive it at any point during its lifespan as opposed to only a small window.
- This could be considered rather ironic, as its mechanic being forgiving clashes with what it represents, wrath and revenge.
- Previously, the only requirement to survive was to jump while it's active.
- This resulted in both misleading visuals and a misleading note, as players would still die without jumping when mid-air, despite not "[letting] it see you on the ground".
- Because of the similarities between the eyes of Rue and the ones shown when dying to Ire, Ire likely has a connection with Rue.
- In addition, the modifiers that activate the two ("Left to wander" for Rue and "TO LEAVE TO WANDER", for Ire) are extremely similar.
- Rue and Ire's multiplayer death effects are the same.
- Rue's eyes can also be seen at the bottom of the right page of of Ire's document.
- According to Simon, like how Kookoo doesn't have eyes or Litany doesn't have a mouth, Ire has no body.[1]
- Ire's document is incredibly similar to Mime's, in part because of their relation to fulfilling urges.
- The sound effect that plays when Ire spawns is an edited version of this sound from Luigi's Mansion. It is unknown if this sound is a stock effect that was also used in Grace or if this was specifically taken from Luigi's Mansion.
