A completely unique gamemode that is nothing like the original Grace! Your judgement has been postponed... so long as you can keep up the pace. Speed through this endless score-attack mode where you must get the highest score you possibly can in randomly generated terrains filled with beacons that you must touch in order to continue. Managing to grab all of the beacons before the time ends will allow you to continue whilst also giving you multiple options to either increase the difficulty, keep it the same, or to walk away satisfied with your earnings. However, failing to touch all of the beacons before the time expires may lead to some abrupt consequences that will cause you to not get any of your earnings...[1]
Reprieve (stylized as REPRIEVE) is one of the two current singleplayer gamemodes alongside Zen (stylized as zen). It is almost completely different in layout and pacing from the original Grace, only sharing the movement mechanics, some enemies, timer, and floor by floor gameplay. It is significantly faster paced than the original Grace, as well as having open, nonlinear floor layouts.
Overview[]
Reprieve is introduced as a much more challenging gamemode compared to the main game. Upon entering, you are greeted within a flat, white landscape with one singular beacon and text in front of it and behind it, as well as a giant black circle in the sky, presumably a celestial body of sorts. Touching this beacon will start your run immediately, sending you into a black and white arena filled with slopes, giant walls, beacons, paths, and dead ends.
Mechanics[]
Unlike Grace, you have much better sliding speed, you run faster, and gain a list of important mechanics not found anywhere else in the game.
Your walkspeed is ~16 studs/s, and your run speed is ~64 studs/s. Mach is calculated with .
Parrying[]
One of the main mechanics of Reprieve is the ability to PARRY entities that would otherwise kill you without it by pressing the Item Use Special keybind. This allows you to stop and cancel attacks as well as render entities unable to attack you, such as in the case of Doppel or the EPIK DUCK. It should be noted that attempting to spam parry increases its cooldown.
Slide-Bouncing[]
Another mechanic is Slide-Bouncing, where sliding against where the floor and a wall meet causes you to fly into the air, similar to Trimping, and allowing you to do advanced movement such as Darting.
By doing these, you get "Style Points", similar to that of ULTRAKILL's. These can increase your rank, as seen on the right side of the screen. Style points slowly go down over time without sustenance. You also get a score multiplier based on your current rank. The ranks increase as follows, from top to bottom:
| Rank | Score Multiplier |
|---|---|
| 1x | |
| 1x | |
| 1.25x | |
| 1.5x | |
| 2x | |
| 2.5x | |
| 3x | |
| 3.33x | |
| 5x |
Objective[]
The main objective of Reprieve is to interact/collect black beacons scattered around the map, ranging from 10-40 beacons in a single floor. You have a set timer to collect these as well as a style meter you must maintain. Once you have collected them, you will have cleared the floor.
If the timer ever runs out, Shame will hunt you down until you collect the remaining beacons or die, and will convert the timer into a distance meter depending on how close Shame is to you.
Once you have cleared the floor, you will be given the option to continue or end the run, cashing out Bricks and XP. For each floor you clear, you get the following amount of Bricks and XP: , where is your current multiplier from modifiers. If you die to an entity or return to the lobby, all your earnings will be lost.

Gameplay Tips[]
- Take advantage of the initial drop to the floor with a wallkick to gain a large amount of initial momentum (the higher you fall, the greater the momentum when performing the wallkick).
- You may also do a slide-bounce. Starting to slide at the beginning will give you an INSANE amount of speed and give you Mach 1-2.
- You can also Air-pound to increase your fall speed to in turn increase the speed of the wallkick or slide-bounce.
- As in the normal game, use the Slide to maximize the momentum and maintain high speed.
- Use the Slide-Bounce mechanic to gain height. This is useful both for automatically overcoming wall climbs without losing speed, and also for combining it with the Wallkick and regaining more momentum (= +speed).
- If you start to get saturated with entities, remember that you can use the parry to get rid of them all. Spamming the parry also works, but due to a patch, spamming parry will cause its cooldown to increase with each missed parry & you won't have that satisfaction of precision.
- This even allows (only for the current floor) to get rid of Doombringer if you manage to parry the explosion.
- Most of the time, you are very rarely going to see Rue's marker, due to needing to turn your camera often. Because of this, its recommendable to just look behind to slow it down instead of parrying it, unless you want a vertical boost from parrying it.
- Parrying Shame will boost you backwards from the direction you are looking at. This means that by looking down as you parry it, you can be boosted upwards, allowing you to perform darting or wall jumping. Another thing to mention is that turning around right before you parry will boost you forward, which can help get beacons faster.
- By binding "Use item" and "Use item special" to M1 (or any other key of your choosing), you can both parry entities and shut Doombringers' with a single mouse click (or with your parry/use key) instead of having to use a different button or having to put the Doombringer away for the parry.
- Doombringer is fairly easy to parry as it isn't required to hold it, instead, listen for the beeps that the unequipped Doombringer does, parry it on the 4th tick to launch you upwards.
- The beacon hitboxes are around twice as large as the beacon itself, making it easy to collect many beacons in a line even if they are not lined up well.
Trivia[]
- In the Lore, Reprieve is stated to be a "confessional booth," a small, private area where you privately confess to a priest of your sins.
- This is also implied as you can hear a door being opened when collecting the first beacon in the starting area.
- Lore wise, Reprieve could possibly be the aftermath of spoiling Zen.
- This may tie into how Reprieve is a confessional booth, as it can signify having sinned (spoiling Zen and dying to Sin) and confessing to your sins and repent afterwards (Reprieve). However, if so, it's also intended to play Reprieve after dying to an entity in the original game Grace (Mode), as it also signifies you having sinned.
- This would also mean all of the entities are various types of sins (aside from their Grace representations), as proven from the text when that specific entity is rolled.

However, if so, it's also intended to play Reprieve after dying to an entity in the original game Grace (Mode), as it also signifies you having sinned.
- The verb "reprieve" means to "cancel or postpone [a] punishment."[2]
- According to 2 Thessalonians 1:8–9, God will punish those who defy "the gospel of our Lord Jesus [...] with everlasting destruction" alongside excluding them from His "presence" and "the glory of [H]is might."[3][4] According to Acts 3:19, "your sins" can only be "wiped" if you "Repent" and "turn to God."[5]
- In the beginning section before you touch the first beacon you can walk to the edge and jump off. This is because there are no invisible barriers. Doing so will cause you to fall infinitely.
- Despite being able to reset, resetting does nothing, so once you fall the only way to reach to play area is by leaving & rejoining GRACE before walking into the reprieve door.
- Upon choosing to end it, after a quick shot of God grabbing the player's arm, a message will appear all over the screen for a split second before the "GRACE REBUILT" text replaces it. The message reads as follows: "Za te i za wszystkie zapomniane grzechy żałuje z calego serca i chce się szczerze poprawić. Bóg, Ojciec milosierdzia, który pojednał świat ze sobą przez śmierć i zmartwychwstanie swojego Syna i zesłał Ducha Świetęgo na odpuszczenie grzechów, niech ci udzieli przebaczenia i pokoju przez posługę Kościola. I ja odpuszczam tobie grzechy, w imie Ojca i Syna, I Ducha Świetego, AMEN."
- This message is in Polish, and in English it reads: "For these and all forgotten sins, I repent with all my heart and desire to make amends more sincerely. May God, the Father of mercy, who reconciled the world with himself through the death and resurrection of his Son and sent the Holy Spirit for the forgiveness of sins, grant you forgiveness and peace through the ministry of the Church. And I absolve you from your sins, in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, AMEN."
- The image that appears for doing three or more successful parries in a row references the meme "I'm Not Gonna Sugarcoat It (Tekken)."
- The way this pop-up appears, as well as the sound, may be inspired by ULTRAKILL, where parrying is also referred to as "sugarcoating". Many mods & media from said game depict images with the usual text of “I'M NOT GONNA SUGARCOAT IT” being shown at the bottom, similarly to the image shown in REPRIEVE.
- It's possible to spawn entities that don't exist within the Reprieve gamemode, each with varying success. Most of them cannot be parried if spawned.
- Slight, Heed, Elkman, and Drain cannot be spawned. While attempting to spawn Drain disables rewards, the former three do not.
- Carnation and Slugfish don't spawn since they have no path to follow. However in the latter's case, its visual indicator lingers on-screen for the remainder of the run.
- While Goatman and Sorrow can be spawned, they are effectively impossible to survive due to the lack of light sources against the former and shelter against the latter.
- Kookoo is functionally incapable of attacking the player when spawned, unless they're holding the Doombringer or a note from a modifier.
- When enabling the modifier "the undead comign", the map will have the same retro style, but zombers are also unable to appear.
- Ire and Mime are the only entities that function exactly as intended when spawned, with Ire having the same jumping mechanic tied to it & Mime lingering behind the player. However, Mime may spawn right beneath where the player initially shows up, therefore making the player die to it immediately.
- Unlike the others, Mime can actually be parried, as it likely reused the same line of code from Rue.
- Parrying Mime will cause it to stop moving completely.
- When rerolling on the modifier selection screen, each entity briefly flashes a phrase in white for about a few frames. These phrases are:
- The inverted text at the start reads as following:
- Do you know them?
- Do you regret them?
- Do you want to improve?
- [The text is covered by or is implied to be the beacon]
- Make it right.
- Reprieve is heavily based off of another Fartering Few's game called SiSi
- Reducing time removes 25% of the current timer. (60 > 45 > 33.75, etc.)
- Getting a very high score will result in the score displaying "NaN", which stands for Not a Number. This is likely due to Roblox's inability to calculate and/or display numbers over a certain value, a problem caused by float64 or int64 variables.
- Pressing the END key on your keyboard will cause the timer to immediately end, thus SHAME appears earlier.
- The Reprieve starting area has a dedicated card in Blox Cards, as part of the Grace X Blox Cards collab.
